Barry M: Sequins Collection!

Tuesday 11 June 2013

Ok.... I totally have a confession to make... I thought I was going to HATE these polishes after seeing all the swatches and I wouldn't have actually bought them... (sorry Bazza)... so good job I won them because actually I LIKE them! I can't believe it LOL! They aren't a pleasure to apply I must admit, it's as though you have poured a load of coarse sugar into your polish and on the first coat they look most odd... but by the second coat (for which a sort of dabbing technique seemed best effective) they look a lot like icing, well the pink and white ones anyway; the black reminded me of coal or oil with gold nuggets in, this one was my favourite! They feel rough like concrete to the touch though, not the softer bumpiness you get with the Barry M Textured polish. With the white and pink I added a topcoat to smooth the finish and fix my bows in place, I liked the smoother texture and shine it gave, a lot like icing! :)

  4. Are they as much of a nightmare to remove as they appear?

    1. They are a bit of a pain, much like any heavy glitter polishes but with the added texture too! I'm a picker lol so picked off most of it then cleaned up with remover ;)

    1. Did you try topcoating them? I wasn't keen on the finish without it... they're defo not a favourite of mine but I will use them again at some point! :)

Yes I do sometimes soak, but I enjoy the odd picking of polish lol!

    1. I agree they could have gone in a better direction with them but this was obviously what the bazza team wanted from these polishes. I like the fact they are so controversial! Rarely happens in the polish world :)
