Flip Flop Challenge: Gradient/Skittle

Friday 1 February 2013

Well it's a new month and a new challenge! I've deliberated doing the Jilltastic Flip Flop February Challenge for the last couple of weeks, but decided to go for it; the last one was so much fun and I am someone who struggles with deciding what I want to do so a challenge helps to focus my imagination a little lol! This is a great challenge as there are two choices each day - a harder and an easier (although you can make each as complex as you like) - perfect when you're juggling other things; it's also packed full of great themes :)

For todays mani I chose a gradient, it's a look I love and something I'm still getting the hang of. I used three coats of the blue polish as it's quite sheer, then one thick coat of the glitter polish over 2/3 of the nail. Once that dried I did a thin coat of the blue from the middle up to create a kind of jelly sandwich in the middle and thus creating another level in the gradient! Easy peasy!

For this look I used:
  • Barry M - Blue Moon
  • Models Own - Southern Lights
